The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal tractor-trailer crash that left one man dead and two others injured Monday afternoon in Sycamore Township.
Officials said a 2018 Lexus driven by Sukanta Panda, 76, was parked on the shoulder of eastbound Ohio 126 with a flat tire when a 2021 Peterbilt tractor-trailer hit it around 12:30 p.m. Panda was taken to Bethesda North Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A 71-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries, while the truck driver was treated and released.
Authorities confirmed that neither speed nor alcohol contributed to the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Unit as the investigation continues.
