The San Diego County Medical Examiner has confirmed the death of a 39-year-old El Cajon woman following a pedestrian crash earlier this month.
Officials said Susana Gascon was struck by a vehicle at about 2:03 p.m. while crossing North Mollison Avenue on Dec. 6. She was rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital with critical injuries.
Gascon later died from those injuries, authorities said. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the El Cajon Police Department.
