A pedestrian struck in a South Los Angeles hit-and-run earlier this month has died, prompting police to renew their appeal for public assistance.
According to investigators, Tomas Lopez Onofre, 32, was hit near Florence and Kansas avenues on December 10. Family members said he was walking to catch a bus to work at the time of the collision. He later succumbed to his injuries four days after the incident.
Police said the suspect vehicle is believed to be a white Cadillac sedan. The driver fled the area and has not yet been located.
The investigation remains active, and authorities continue to urge anyone with information to come forward.
