Authorities are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash in San Jose that resulted in the death of Tuyep Nhung Thi Nguyen following an apparent parking mishap.
Police said the driver of a Toyota inadvertently reversed the vehicle at high speed, causing it to veer off North Ninth Street and collide with a concrete structure. Nguyen, who was riding as a passenger, sustained severe injuries in the crash and later died at a medical facility.
Officials confirmed that the driver stayed at the scene. Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
