
Authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash Monday night in Lancaster that claimed the life of William Edwards.
According to police, Edwards, 61, was struck by an SUV around 9:50 p.m. near the intersection of Sierra Highway and Avenue J-8 in Los Angeles County.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported Edwards to Antelope Valley Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Officials have not released further details about the driver or the circumstances leading up to the crash.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
